Feb 18 Net results and Feb 19 Membership Drive
We had a terrific reception in front of Hodges Library today! Ian, Ben, and I talked with at least 20 people interesting in joining UTARC. We also did a few demonstration QSOs for interested passers-by. I'm looking forward to our next meeting.

Net Check-ins for Feb 11, 2009
On the net we discussed moving to another repeater and membership drive ideas. The general consensus was that we should move to a quieter repeater. Next week we will hold the net on the 147.075 repeater and our backup frequency will be 146.940.
Several people suggested we do some demonstrations of digital ham radio to encourage membership. We're also going to see about getting a write-up in the Daily Beacon. Hopefully this will help us bring some new blood to the club.

Net Check-Ins for Feb 4, 2009
For our first net we only logged callsigns so I pulled the first names off of qrz.com. If I messed yours up, let me know. Anyone can register on the site and leave comments.
I am THRILLED with the turnout! A huge thanks to Brady for calling our first UTARC net in several years. This week's was just a social net. In the future we'll also discuss club meetings and plan club events.
Also, I'd like to thank Mike Coffey for all he continues to do for the club. Mike, I picked up those club materials you left me in the server closet and I'm very grateful! They'll be a big help.
